Is there a fix for this? If its another "as designed" change, is there a workaround? I'm out of ideas. Nothing in the conversions notes on this, and the "Upgrade Advisor" is as well oblivious. I've searched google for this problem and found bits and pieces, but nothing coherent. I've been able to get the rest of W7 to function in a reasonably unobtrusive manner and was about ready to dump XP when this came up. On my network that are still on XP for this reason alone -they need to be able to auto-recover and start listening for me. This application runs fine on XP, and should run on 7 (also note its price is infinitely cheaper than its competition). I have tried many things and VNC just will not function in any recovery-useful manner like it does on XP. I need to be able to recover my desktops after a power failure when I am away. to either run "automatic", or at the very least autostart before the first logon occurs. Trying to get: " VNC Server Free Edition for Win32, Version 4.1.3" Using Win7 Ultimate and Pro versions on various computers in the office.
